There is some violence: sword fighting and theft mostly. There isn’t any profanity or “intimacy” (Thank you!!!). The ending though……total cliffhanger!!! Ahhhh!!! Must. The characters are well developed, and fun. Nielsen’s writing style it’s easy to read and just sucks you right into Carthya and Jaron’s life. I think it takes awhile, but towards the end of the book you begin to see him maturing, and that is a good thing. Let’s just say that they are a rowdy bunch I would not want to hang out with them! I think you do see how Jaron grows as a character in this book. You learn a lot more about about a few of the characters, and you get to meet a few new ones as well. I didn’t like it as much as the first one, but it is still good and definitely worth reading.
